Surrounded by two very impressive mountains (the Matterhorn and the Schreckhorn), the Grindelwald ski resort offers 158km of marked pistes, of which some are very well known. A big village of the Jungfrau region at 1034m, Grindelwald is one of the 12 ski resorts that are part of “The Best of the Alps”, in five countries. There, you will find 27 mountain restaurants, one of them being on the Jungfrauroch Glacier. The pistes are excellent for any skier, especially experts, thanks to the large number of mogul fields. At Grindelwald, there is always something to do: curling, heliskiing, ice skating, mountaineering, paragliding, saunas, sleigh rides, snow rafting, fitness centre, snowshoeing, snow tubing, ice climbing, winter walks… The resort’s après-ski is just as lively as the ski itself, with bars, night clubs, concerts, folklore evenings, but also cultural with the visit of the Ice Palace. The events calendar is full at Grindelwald, with notably the Lauberhorn Race, the international Curling championships and the snow festival.
